In the beginning, two men had a vision of what has become Vail. Today, Vail has become an internationally known and
incomparable world-class ski resort. Vail valley also brings a wealth of opportunities to connect to the outdoors
during its spring and summer seasons. The same slopes that make Vail a skier's heaven become perfect trails for mountain
biking. Horseback riding and hiking are other favorites of the area. On your days off, you can enjoy fishing, canoeing,
golf, balloon rides, and tennis. With the Rockies as your backdrop, you are sure to have a picture perfect trip.
The ski area of Vail is 5,289 acres and rises 3,450 feet from the base of the mountain with a summit elevation of 11,570.
Boasting 32 lifts to get you to the almost 200 ski trails leading to three distinct areas of the mountain. On the hill
there are 3 terrain parks and 7 bowls so finding fresh snow will be easy. Named the largest ski resort in the US, the
slopes average only 2 skiiers/boarders per acre on an average day! Vail proudly boasts the only night skiing in the area.
Most people that vacation here come for the winter sports, including skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, dog sleigh, and snowmobile.
The area is less known, but equally impressing during the warmer months, with dozens of areas dedicated to hiking, fishing,
mountain biking, and trail running. Regardless if you come to vacation for the excitement of the slopes, or the relaxing
